I have never wanted to follow trends or take shortcuts; my goal has always been to create instruments that are as individual as the musicians who play them.

In 2024, I set myself a challenge unlike any I had attempted before: to craft a headjoint made entirely from solid 22K gold — the tube, riser, and lip plate, without compromise.

Working with 22K gold is not for the faint of heart. It is soft, costly, and requires absolute control at every stage. One wrong move, one fraction of a millimeter off, and the work is lost. But the reward is extraordinary: a resonance and depth of tone that I had never heard before, even in the finest precious-metal flutes.
