On March 3, 2024, I attended a wonderful concert at Carnegie Hall to hear Karl-Heinz Schütz, principal flutist of the Vienna Philharmonic, perform Mahler’s Symphony No. 9 under Franz Welser-Möst.

It was inspiring to hear Karl-Heinz’s beautiful playing on his Emanuel flute in such a legendary hall. After the concert, we enjoyed a great time together in New York, sharing conversation about music and craftsmanship.
